Yamaha calls it the first "modern performance custom"; the Raider from Star Motorcycles broke new ground in styling, performance, power and handling upon its introduction in 2008. Now, over eight years later, the Raider continues to exhilarate its owners and defeat its competition, inspiring a growing fierce and loyal following, and winning awards and accolades along the way.
Established in January 2008, Raider Performance has aimed to help the owners of this incredible motorcycle get the most out of their machines and serves as a community for all Raider owners and riders (current and future).
New for 2015 - Star Motorcycles has unveiled the 2015 Raiders. For the most part, they have stuck with the winning Raider formula, with one small addition. The standard Raider is available in Raven black with some cool graphics and black wheels with a red pinstripe; with the MSRP remaining $14,990. The Raider S with its extra chrome still starts at $15,790, now in Crimson Red. A 2015 Raider SCL has not yet been announced, with the 2014 edition remaining on the Star Motorcycles site. Star eschewed billet & chrome of the first SCLs for subtle & sinister, and kept the price down. Wheels, exhaust and the entire engine are completely blacked-out, and the bike is finished in matte raven black/matte iron paint. Without the shiny wheels and other details, the SCL remains at a reasonable $16,990. New for 2015, Yamaha has added a new bike to the Raider line-up. Slotted between the Raider and the Raider S, the new Raider Bullet Cowl features the same specifications and color as the Standard bike and adds a small aerodynamic cowl over the headlight. Adding about $400 to the price of the Raider, the Bullet Cowl starts at $15,590, and offers "a hint of outlaw styling" (their words), while offering added protection from wind blast and fatigue.
Big News - we've made a major improvement and added an on-line catalog feature to our Aftermarket Section. In addition to our research and reviews, we are now able to provide a direct connection to our partners that allow you to purchase many of the name-brand products that we discuss at discounted prices, including FI modules, handlebars, exhaust, etc. If you see this graphic , it indicates that we've personally installed, tested and used the item.

Check out what we're doing on our Raider. Yamaha is a very rare bike manufacturer in that they go out of their way to promote customization, and we thank them for that.
